The Best App prize is awarded to the individual or team which produces the best overall Windows Phone 7 application produced at XAPFest, as determined by our judges.

BEST APP $2,000 Cash prize (sponsored by Infragistics) & Windows Phone 7 device
The best app will be judged on the extent to which it implements the Metro UI, the functionality of the app, how well it takes advantage of native Windows Phone 7 platform features, and the quality of the overall user experience.
Best Port
The Best Port prize will be awarded to the individual or team that ports an existing mobile application from another platform (iOS, Android, WebOS, BlackBerry, etc...) to Windows Phone 7 at XAPFest, creating the best possible interpretation of the app on Windows Phone 7 given the features of the platform and the Metro UI.
